★ 著者简介 弗雷德里克·科普勒斯顿，著名哲学史家，大英帝国勋章获得者、英国国家学术院院士、英国皇家哲学学会成员、亚里士多德学会成员、伦敦大学海斯洛普学院教授、牛津大学圣约翰学院荣誉院士。 ★ 译者简介 陈焱，2014年博士毕业于复旦大学哲学学院。现为上海财经大学人文学院哲学系副教授，博士生导师。主要研究领域为中国近代思想、明清哲学。著有《几与时——论王船山对传统道学范式的反思与转化》，获2018年第14届上海市哲学社会科学优秀成果奖著作类二等奖。主要论文有《玄思死亡：当代哲学分析视角下的<形影神>》《王阳明在“四句教”公案中的思想立场研究》《郭嵩焘洋务思想中的船山哲学影响》等。
